      Geja’s Café Springs into a Back to the Roots Wine Festival
      April through June
      Geja’s Café, 340 W. Armitage Ave, will be going “Back to the Roots” for its three month wine festival featuring wineries from around the world that follow principles of sustainable, organic and biodynamic practices in order to preserve the land for future generations.

      “The organic movement is just as big in wine as it is in food right now and it is time we get the word out. While many vineyards have been utilizing these standards for more than a century, a great number are just starting to realize the benefits of ‘green’ practices. With this festival we hope to showcase this field of winemaking, both the old and newcomers alike, while also proving that these wines are easily accessible to all,” says Blake Farnsworth, Geja’s Café Wine Buyer.

      The featured wines, available both by the glass and the bottle at low promotional prices, include:

The Chicago institution has been the site of 135,356 first dates and 16,266 engagements and diners have enjoyed over 321 tons of cheese fondue and over 1,072,046 bottles of wine.
