DIY Kite Making from Reclaimed Umbrellas

This is a beginner's kite-making class. We'll be making diamond kites out using reclaimed umbrellas. This class will involve basic hand-stitching. The workshop is taught by Whitney Richardson, a co-founder of the Kite Collective, a group of creatives that use kites as a platform to connect with the environment, community & self. Please bring donations of broken umbrellas for use in future Kite Collective projects! If weather permits, participants are invited to test their first-time kites along the waterfront!

Cost: DIY Kite Making from reclaimed umbrellas 10.00
