The History of Rock and Soul: Part 2 with Terri Hemmert

WXRT’s legendary Terri Hemmert joins the acclaimed Chicago a cappella ensemble as curator and narrator in a sequel to their 2016 sold-out concert, The History of Rock and Soul, Part 2. Music guru Terri Hemmert has taught a college course on The History of Rock and Soul for many years, and this concert takes inspiration from her vast decades-wide knowledge of music. Songs will include hits ranging from Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 smash “Don’t Stop” and Elton John’s beloved “Your Song” to energized favorites such as Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and Lady Gaga’s 2011 “Born This Way.” With new arrangements by Chicago a cappella’s Music Director Emeritus Patrick Sinozich, this satisfying musical trip will leave you singing for weeks to come!

      Cost: 25.00
