      Scarecrows on Parade

      WHAT: Visitors will be laughing, screaming, pointing and pondering while shopping this fall as Clark Street in Lincoln Park hosts its annual Scarecrows on Parade from Saturday, October 12 through Thursday, October 31, 2013.
      Dozens of local merchants will flaunt their creativity and begin this festive autumn sales season by designing and displaying a themed scarecrow in front of their business. After viewing all of the Scarecrows on Parade, the public is invited to vote for their favorite at Voters will automatically be entered for a chance to win more than $800 in prizes!
      Scarecrows will be at participating businesses on Clark Street between Armitage and Diversey, and on Diversey from Orchard to Lakeview. A complete list of participants will be available at beginning October 12. Voting ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, and winners will be announced at the annual Clark Street Spooktacular on October 26.
      WHEN: Saturday, October 12 – Thursday, October 31
      Scarecrows on Parade - Participating Clark Street businesses will display their unique scarecrows outdoors on the sidewalk or in storefront windows along Clark Street for two weeks beginning October 12 through October 31.
      WHERE: Clark Street between Armitage and Diversey, and Diversey from Orchard to Lakeview.
      WHO: Just two miles north of downtown, Lincoln Park is known as Chicago’s liveliest neighborhood, and Clark Street in Lincoln Park is at the heart of the action. Clark Street in Lincoln Park is home to the historic and the hip, the classic and the contemporary.
